One thing we've learned about motivating people toward servanthood is that they sometimes need their definitions changed. "Need" and "Ability" mean something different in the context of community...it's a lot broader than just providing meals or fixing houses (though it's certainly that as well).

But they also need to hear the stories of their fellow servants--not only for inspiration of good things being done, but also the reaffirming message of knowing that you're not alone.  Shared experiences build strong communities.
