For 35 years, Tom Mercer has engaged in pastoral ministry, including the last 26 where he has served as the Senior Pastor and primary teacher at the High Desert Church of Victorville in Southern California. During that time, the church has grown from 125 to more than 11,000 regular attendees and has been featured in a number of publications including The New York Times. Tom and his wife, Sheryl, have been married for 30 years. They have three grown children and three grandchildren.
